At the Wildlife Rescue Association in Burnaby, I accumulated many hours of hands-on animal husbandry experience working with local wildlife. During this time, I mostly worked with native and invasive bird species performing basic rehabilitation tasks both individually and in teams. Basic task consisted of checking for injuries, feeding, weighing, measuring, administering fluids and medication, and taking blood samples. I was also occasionally tasked with bringing rehabilitated wildlife back out into suitable release areas to reintegrate into the wild.
